    Abstract

    File Name: NexusAGWInstaller_1.4.0.100608h.zip

The Advanced Gait Workflow (AGW) is add-on for Vicon Nexus 2.

The AGW is a preconfigured set of capture and process steps (A Nexus Biomechanics Workflow) intended to assist the user in capturing trials for SCoRE and SARA functional joint calibrations.

The Trial Types, VSTs, Realtime Montiors and Processing Pipelines necessary to capture and calibration SCoRE hip joint centre locations and SARA optimized knee flexion / extension axes are installed with the AGW including documentation.

The AGW installer also includes the latest version of Vicon’s Plug-In Gait.M (MatLab).

The Plug-In Gait Matlab code can be found in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Vicon\Nexus2.6\SDK\Matlab

If users wish to produce all the kinematic and kinetic output form Plug-in Gait with SCoRE hips and SARA knees as a foundation this model can be used (MathWorks MatLab 2013b or newer).

The Optimum Common Shape Technique (OCST), Symmetrical Center of Rotation Estimation (SCoRE) and Symmetrical Axis of Rotation Analysis (SARA) methods are based on research publications which can be obtain from Vicon upon request. As the research and validation of the values produced by these methods is a continuing effort it is recommended that OCST, SCoRE and SARA are used for investigative and research purposes. It is the responsibility of the user to review the scientific references and understand the methods. Any use of the methods as part of a clinical assessment is strictly at the discretion of the user.

    Requirements

Nexus 2.6.0 Mathworks – MatLab 2013b license or newer required to use PIG.M.
